Paint Biome Region
Paints a biome over a whole region and writes it to the world. Everyone sees it, and it survives a restart.
Fields
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
biome | Var<String> | Biome key to paint |
region | WORLDEDIT_SELECTION / RADIUS_AROUND_PLAYER | Where the region comes from |
radius | Var<Int> | Radius in blocks, used by the radius mode |
snapshotId | String | Name to record the previous biomes under. Empty means no undo. |
Snapshots
When snapshotId is set, the biomes already present are read and stored before anything is
overwritten. Restore Biome puts them back under the same name.
Snapshots work for both region modes. A name is reused if it already exists, so painting twice under the same name keeps only the most recent "before" state — give each zone its own name if you want to undo them independently.
Performance
Biomes are stored per 4×4×4 cell, so the region is walked on that grid rather than block by block. Reading the previous biomes happens off the main thread, and writes are scheduled on the region that owns each chunk, which keeps large selections from stalling the server.
WorldEdit
WORLDEDIT_SELECTION uses the triggering player's current selection and requires WorldEdit or FAWE.
Without a selection — or without the plugin — the action logs a warning and does nothing.
Example
Burn a zone, then restore it when the quest ends:
biome: typewriter:ember_wastes
region: WORLDEDIT_SELECTION
snapshotId: quete_incendie
